The east west setting is the whole point of this ring. By rotating the oval 90 degrees horizontally across the finger instead of along it, the design immediately reads as intentional and contemporary a detail that separates it from every standard oval ring at a glance.

An east west orientation has the center stone measuring 0.65 CT with a semi precious aquamarine oval gem that is 6.00 mm x 4.00 mm, resulting in a shorter overall diameter of 6.00 mm (as opposed to 4.00 mm) causing a significant difference in "appearance" (width) when worn on your finger than if cut as a round stone. Given their soft translucent blue, with true clarity and light-play, aquamarine stones tend to appear cooler than both topaz and turquoise as they reflect light more closely and appear to have higher crystalline qualities.

The round, full, white VVS Moissanite accent stones surrounding the outside of the setting, each measuring 1.40 MM . The band measures 1.80 MM wide and 1.70 MM deep, resulting in a fairly slim profile that can be stacked with other rings. Aquamarine, the birthstone for March, is the stone featured in this design.
