Peridot Green Emerald Gemstone Ring

Peridot is an exceptionally green stone that cannot be categorized as either a forest (dark) green stone or an emerald (green), but rather has a vibrant yellowish-green colour resulting from the iron content contained in the mineral itself. Moreover, peridot is the only significant gemstone to be found in one colour (i.e., a bright, light-enhancing hue); therefore, the numerous characteristics of the colour make it instantly recognisable.

This is a 0.85 CT emerald cut semi precious peridot 7.10×5.05 mm located in the center of this piece. The step cut facets are very well suited for peridot as the long parallel lines allow the color to settle and deepen instead of scattering. Round full white VVS moissanite at 2.20 MM sit at the shoulders substantial accent stones that add real presence on either side of the center. The contrast between cool white moissanite brilliance and warm yellow green peridot is part of what makes this setting work. The 1.80 MM band keeps everything refined.
